Radiator repair, a review of the topic

Oh, no! Do you keep going (after all, it's not flashing, yet) or turn around? A check engine light can signal any number of issues, from loose gas caps to engine misfires, some of which could lead to serious damage and expensive repair work down the road if ignored. The on board computer in your car constantly monitors for operational issues and sends out a signal whenever it detects any irregular activity. The computer will first try to correct the problem itself, but when it can't, it lets you know by illuminating the check engine light. When that happens, you need to pull over, turn off the car and check your gas cap. (To be safe, you should also check for low oil pressure or overheating before restarting your car.
