Credit card applications, and so much more

Student credit cards tend to have high interest rates and can have quite a few hidden fees, so read the fine print closely and educate yourself about what to look for. Pick a credit card with the lowest possible interest rate and no surprises hidden in the table of fees. Then learn how to use a credit card sensibly. Charging a small amount to your credit cards each month is good as long as you pay it off in full at the end of the month. (After all, how are you supposed to show that you know how to be a responsible creditor if you never use your line of credit?) If you do carry a balance from one month to the next, pay more than the minimum required payment to reduce the amount of interest your account accrues.
