Customized birth announcements can do the job nicely. At one time, new births were shared with prepackaged, preprinted birth announcements that came only in limited style choices. They were pretty, but not very special. Parents now have the option of either using the traditional preprinted birth announcement when their baby is born or selecting from the literally hundreds of birth announcement designs that are available online. Etiquette dictates that formal birth announcements be sent to family and friends by regular postal service delivery, not email.
